Mr. Goldberg has an extensive investment banking background, working in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Calgary. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President with Macquarie Capital Markets Canada. Previously, Mr. Goldberg held progressively senior roles at CIBC, including Director, Office of the Vice Chairman. He has completed over $50 billion in financings and advised on over $5 billion in mergers and acquisitions, working with corporations and governments. In addition, Mr. Goldberg has significant cannabis industry experience, having worked with PharmaCan Capital, a pioneering private equity firm in Canada’s emerging cannabis industry.
Mr. Goldberg has been married for over 11 years and has two young children. He received a Master of Financial Economics from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from Queen’s University and was a Visiting Undergraduate Student at Harvard University. In 2012, he was selected to participate in the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference and over the years has been very active in a number of community and charitable organizations, including as a member of the Board of Directors of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, National Young Leadership Co-Chair of the Ben Gurion Society with United Israel Appeal and Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, and a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Winnipeg’s GenNext Council. When work and family life permit, he loves to play baseball, golf and hockey, is an avid fisherman, and enjoys travelling.
