Brownies and non-Boozy Beer: ‘Edibles’ Businesses Plan Ahead
The easiest and least harsh method of partaking in cannabis has, oddly, been the one the government has been most uncomfortable with post-legalization. But with a slew of regulatory okays in December, the green light has been given to what is likely to become a bigger market than smoking – as much as four times as big, according to a Deloitte study. Nearly half of Canadians surveyed intend to try legal edibles. Cannabis infused (non alcoholic) drinks are being developed such as beer (courtesy of breweries that are already making deals with cannabis producers), CBD water, etc. As well, there’ll be infused-consumables like chocolates, butter, baked goods and high-end dining.
