Dr. Lucas C. McCann is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at CannDelta Inc. where he provides scientific oversight on all projects. A medicinal organic chemist by training, Lucas acquiredregulatory knowledge within the Regulatory and Operations Enforcement Branch (Health Products) at Health Canada before leaving the public sector and moving into the consulting space.
An expert in the Cannabis Act, the Cannabis Regulations, and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Lucas leverages his science background with clients at CannDelta. He is an expert in synthesis, instrumental analysis, and chemical extraction. Lucas specializes in providing business and scientific strategy to frontier companies in the pharmaceuticals, food, cannabis, and controlled drugs and substances fields. Lucas regularly guides clients through Health Canada’s regulatory framework via the licensing and assists with improving operational efficiency atlicensed sites.
