Dr. Mauro F. Cardoso Lins
Dr. Lins is a Pediatric Neurologist and Medical Director of the first public School-Clinic for Autism children in Brazil. He has recently founded the Institute for the Study of Autism in Rio de Janeiro, a project aimed at stablishing an international alliance on the study of Autism Spectrum Disorders. He is a member of the International Affairs Committee of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine and Full member at INSAR (International Society for Autism Research) and full member at ICNA (International Child Neurology Association)
Dr. Lins will describe his successful experience, presenting some case studies, with the use of CBD for autistic children and teenagers who present with severe behavioral issues, including irritability and aggressiveness, unresponsive to usual psychiatric medications. Possible mechanisms of actions will be discussed.
