Dr. Sarah Wilner
Sarah Wilner is a professor of marketing and Chair, Brand Communications at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. Her research focuses on innovation, product development and design, consumer insight and consumer culture.
Dr. Wilner research methods are primarily qualitative, meaning that she investigates consumer and organizational phenomena by immersing herself in the consumption communities and organizations she studies and focuses on the lived experiences of both consumers and managers. She has studied product development and innovation at Fortune 500 companies as well as small and medium-sized companies in the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand.
She is a seasoned manager, having spent almost 20 years managing marketing and communications in a number of public sector organizations, including leading several as executive director, and consults for organizations across a variety of industries.
