Gerald Major is a medical cannabis patient, a chronic illness advocate and arthritis warrior. Showing symptoms of inflammation in both knees at the age of 14, Gerald was diagnosed at 23 with Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic Arthritis. Gerald’s Arthritis took him out of work 12 years ago where he was Senior Vice President of Operations for Citibank Hedge Fund Services North America. Gerald joined CFAMM in 2016 as he noticed the barriers to medical cannabis access for patients, with cost being a major factor. Gerald wears many hats in healthcare as a director of Best Medicine Coalition and member of Ontario Best Practice Research Initiative patient advisory committee. While Gerald continues to advocate as part of various organizations on key global issues he has recently started Expedition Wellness a Cannabis.wiki production allowing him to share his path to wellness so that others can join in. Improving patient outcomes is something Gerald has proven through his own journey.
