Jane Willson
Jane Willson is the creative director and spokesperson for Jane’s Cannabis in Aurora, a family run business she owns with her husband Dr.Grant Willson. Jane found the urge to enter the August 2019 lottery irresistible and inevitable given that her name is slang for marijuana and her birthday happens to fall on 4/20.
Jane holds a BFA and a B of Ed from the University of Toronto. She is also a graduate in Graphic Design from Durham college in Oshawa.
Over the years Jane has worn numerous hats that have allowed her to utilize her design and leadership skills while at the same time fuelling her desire to learn, grow and contribute to community. To highlight a few of her many accomplishments, Jane has been has been a high school teacher, an interior designer, worked in graphic design all while raising four, now grown-up children.This is not a story of all work no play as Jane has always managed to find time to indulge her passion for Art, Music, skiing and cycling.
Fiercely independent, Jane wants it known that against all odds, this store is a family run business with no association or ties to any other corporate identities.
The Willson family has ambitions of franchising Jane’s Cannabis and to secure other locations in Ontario once this store is underway. The store is a dream come true, says Jane, as she is embracing this as the ultimate opportunity to pioneer a unique and exciting retail experience in the emerging Cannabis industry in Ontario.
