Katharine Thomas has been involved in the Construction Industry, Consumer and Retail Businesses and the Cannabis industry for over 20 years. Ms. Thomas has been developing relationships in the Hemp and Cannabis market pre and post recreational legalization for a number of years and has worked closely with industry participants to assist in navigating the regulatory framework, product research, product development and marketing and has been integral in creating educational programs and awareness for Cannabis products in Canada. As the Co-Creator of Cannabis 101 for business professionals she was integral in creating the first education program of its kind for Durham College and as a result was featured on CBC news. As a community and physician liaison with, she provided education platforms to patients and health-care professionals to assist in developing cannabis treatments plans.
Most recently Ms. Thomas has provided successfully consulting services and expertise in the planning, formation and operation of nine Medical Cannabis Clinics in Ontario Canada. Ms. Thomas has worked with two Cannabis Licensed Producers in and founded HALO HEMP CO. in 2016. Ms.Thomas has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine as a Focus Insight Influencer and leader in a Cannabis industry publication, High Canada. As a medical cannabis educator and advocate for Cannabis and women’s health, Ms. Thomas has lectured and spoken at numerous Cannabis industry forums, events around the world. Currently Ms. Thomas has been instrumental in the Hemp sector by cultivating, and creating a pathway for Hemp cultivation in Canada.
