Kyle Detwiler
Kyle Detwiler is the CEO of Clever Leaves, a federally-legal cannabis company with production assets in Colombia and Portugal, two distribution operations in Germany, and a US nutraceutical brand and beverage contract manufacturing organization. Clever Leaves is the #2 licensed cannabis producer by capacity in the Western Hemisphere with 1.9 million square feet of greenhouses and over 80 million square feet of agricultural properties. With Latin America’s only GMP-certified extraction capabilities, Clever Leaves employs over 700 professionals globally. Detwiler also co-founded Silver Swan Capital, an investment firm focused on niche and underfollowed sectors. He was also a Principal at The Blackstone Group, a leading alternative investment manager with $472 billion in assets under management. As an early member of the Tactical Opportunities Fund, Detwiler was involved in the management and served as a board member of seven investments with roughly $1 billion of Blackstone capital. Detwiler was previously a member of the private equity practice at KKR, focusing on transactions in the oil and gas, energy, natural resource and health care sectors. He began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. Detwiler graduated with distinction from Harvard Business School and cum laude from Princeton University.
