Mike has been in the cleaning industry his entire life, as a cleaner during High School, a Director of Operations for a Contract Cleaning Company, a General Manager for a Janitorial Supply Organization and his current role as Director of Training and Innovation has seen Mike in almost every cleaning and restoration type of environment and can speak with authority to all aspects of cleaning.
Part of Mike’s time in the industry has seen him in Health Care where he has learned all of the principals of disinfection and the requirements for general disinfection as well as spore removal in the case of Cdiff,. He understands well when Health Care Acquired Infections (HAI’s) happen and the consequence it has on those effected and the tax paying public who now have to fund the recovery of those affected with an HAI.
In 2019, Mike was awarded ISSA Canada’s Industry Leadership and Outstanding Contribution for work he has done for the Canadian Cleaning and supply industries.
Mike has been a Key Note speaker at Education Facilities Managers Associations for School Boards as well as Long Term Care Associations.
