Paul Rosen is a noted career entrepreneur, management consultant and public speaker. Over the last 6 years, he has become one of the most active entrepreneurs and investors in the emerging global cannabis industry. Paul is the founder, CEO and Chairman of Tidal Royalty Corporation (RLTY.U.CN), a publicly traded royalty financing business focused on the emerging regulated U.S. cannabis industry. Paul is also the founder and Managing Director of BreakWater Venture Capital.
Paul Rosen was a co-founder of PharmaCan Capital Corp., and served as President and CEO for three and a half years. While CEO Paul led the companies investment strategy, and under his leadership the company made direct investments into The Peace Naturals Project, The Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation, ABcann Medicinals Inc( now Vivo Cannabis – TSXV: VIVO)., The Hydropothecary Corporation ( now HEXO – TSXV:HEXO) , Evergreen, Vert Cannabis, and Cannmart, as well as the acquisition of In The Zone Produce Inc. (subsequently rebranded as ‘OGBC’). While CEO, the company listed on the Toronto Stock Venture Exchange, and Paul sat on the Board. On October 6, 2016 PharmaCan Capital announced a corporate rebranding to The Cronos Group (NASDAQ: CRON; TSX: CRON). Paul sits on the Board, and chairs the Audit Committee, of iAnthus Capital Holdings (IAN.CN), a publicly traded New York based investment bank. Paul also sits on the Board of Hill Street Beverages (BEER.VN), and advises several companies across multiple industries.
Paul has enjoyed a distinguished speaking and media career. He has appeared on/in Bloomberg, CNN, BBC Business, Nasdaq TV, Yahoo Finance, Barron’s, BNN, Huffington Post, The Street, The Economist, National Public Radio, Cheddar TV, Business Insider, Medium, The Financial Post, The National, Canada A.M., The Globe and Mail, Vice Media, Merry Jane & Marijuana Business Daily. As a speaker, Paul has been a keynote and a panelist at dozens of industry events across the globe, including The Marijuana Business Expo, CannaTech, O’Cannabiz, Arcview, International Pharmaceutical Association, The Cannabis Business Conference, Kahner Global, Benzinga Investment Conference, Green Table, 1640 Society, and the World Cannabis Congress.
Paul is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and received a B.A. in Economics from Western University in 1985 and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1988.
