Samantha Aitken
Samantha is the Senior Manager, Medical Affairs and Partnerships for Medical Cannabis by Shoppers. She is a pharmacist by profession and graduated from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto in 2014. Samantha spent the first 7 years of her career working as a community pharmacist at Shoppers Drug Mart. In March 2021, she transitioned into a role as a Cannabis-Trained Pharmacist at Shoppers Cannabis Care Centre. Since this move, Samantha has found a passion for supporting both patients and practitioners while they navigate the constantly-evolving medical cannabis landscape. Samantha has also worked with insurance providers and Veterans Affairs Canada to help specific patient populations access medical cannabis services and funding.
