Sanjida Khondaker
Sanjida is a bilingual pharmacist with an in depth training of drug distribution, medical research and, more recently, cannabis therapy. Following an early career in cancer and aging research, Sanjida practiced as a community pharmacist for several years, where she served as a leader on cross-functional teams, managing pharmacy budgets and working closely with vendors. As the pharmacy supervisor, Sanijda led a large team of technicians and assistants and served a customer population of 2000 patients.
In 2019, Sanjida transitioned into the Cannabis field, providing clinical guidance to patients of Medical Cannabis by Shoppers, a federally-authorized Licensed Producer. In this capacity, she assists Canadian patients in their access to medical cannabis within the framework of Cannabis Act and ACMPR regulations. She also supports physicians, nurse practitioners and pharmacists in relaying results of clinical trials and providing medical education to support the safe and effective use of cannabis-based therapies. Currently, she also co-leads the initiative to aid veterans who require medical cannabis, in liaison with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), to ensure coverage is seamless and completely supported.”
